INTRODUCTION

The Justice and Peace Commission is an organization of the Major Superiors Leadership Conference of Pakistan (Catholic Church) whose purpose is to meet the need of those who seek assistance in justice issues. The representatives of the Major Superiors Leadership Conference of Pakistan hereby embark on a joint but challenging journey of assuring Justice to the oppressed, depressed, deprived and the integrity of creation. This unjust situation do cry out loud and clear for our timely, effective and affectionate involvement along with other in achieving justice, peace and prosperity.

There are 6 regional groups in Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad and Hyderabad. The religious contact in that area and lay people are members of the regional groups.

The JP Commission is working at national level through its national office in Multan which was established in 1993; at regional level through its regional groups in collaboration with there like minded organizations.

VISION

Our vision is to have a just society in Pakistan, where every human being gets equal rights, respect and opportunity in the life of the society irrespective of caste, creed, gender and ethnicity.

MISSION STATEMENT

¨ To educate the poor in enhancing awareness and sustaining their concern for their rights: religious, political, social ecological and economic.

¨    To create awareness in peace through justice related issues among the religious.

¨      To encourage and promote the involvement of religious and other likeminded people in action for justice.

¨      To be actively involved with others e.g. NGOs working for the same cause.

¨ To liaise with other organizations working for the same cause.
